Different backgrounds + one vision = empowering through cannabis education
At Nursing Nature’s Way, Sammie and Chylesa bring together years of expertise, personal healing journeys, and a deep passion for cannabis education. Through their work, they create welcoming, stigma-free spaces where patients, providers, and communities are empowered to learn, grow, and embrace wellness with confidence.
Cannabis Nurse Educator & Founder of Nursing Nature's Way
Sammie’s path into cannabis nursing was born not just from curiosity—but from crisis. As a frontline nurse in critical care during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she bore witness to unimaginable loss, chronic exhaustion, and the deep cracks within a system stretched to its breaking point. The result? PTSD. Crippling anxiety. Sleepless nights. Professional burnout. Survivors guilt. And a body—and spirit—on the edge of collapse.
When conventional medicine offered little more than band-aids & pills, Sammie turned inward, searching for something real. That search led her to plant medicine—and it changed everything.
Through medical cannabis, she found not only physical relief, but emotional restoration and clarity. It was a return to the roots of healing, the kind that nurtures from the inside out. And she knew this wasn’t just her path—it was her purpose.
In 2022, Sammie founded Nursing Nature’s Way to bridge the gap between clinical care and holistic cannabis education. Today, she stands with a cannabis care certification from Pacific College of Health Sciences as a cannabis nurse, educator, and advocate—guiding patients, professionals, and dispensaries with compassion, evidence-based wisdom, and a belief that healing should feel like coming home.
Sammie is proud to be supported by a network of respected professional organizations, including:
American Cannabis Nurses Association
The American Nurses Association
Cannabis Nurse Network
Society of Cannabis Clinicians
We Are JAINE
These affiliations reflect Sammie’s commitment to advancing safe, inclusive, evidence-based cannabis care on both a clinical and community level.
Not everyone wants to get high - Some just want to get better
